Both are french versions of the greek name Ariadne or Ariadna, the daugther of King Mynos from Crete, in the legend of the Minotaurus Laberint. She fall in love with the hero Tesseus.

So, the meaning of the name is the same: composed by Ari (the most) and Adnos (holy, sacred).
